That was the motto of this renovation and the dressing area was certainly no exception to this rule. I knew I wanted a beautiful space for clients to get dolled up before their photoshoot and I LOVE how this space came together.
The Just the Sheets set is a classic choice for a boudoir experience. “Boudoir” derives from the word bedroom, after all. The Just the Sheets Set has a fresh, clean aesthetic. The minimal set design allows maximum customization options, including 9 different colors of sheets to choose from!

GUYS! The soft opening of the NEW House of Divulged studio has been incredible! Several babes have already helped me break her in and it feels so good to be back in the swing of doing what I love most - making you feel like a Bad Bitch through pro level booty pics!
Read MoreI’ve dreamed of attending a foam party a la Boys and Girls starring Freddie Prince Jr ever since the movie released in 2000. Have you ever seen it? When I saw this foam machine shared in one of the Boudoir Photographer Education groups I couldn’t run to Amazon fast enough to snag my own!
I was thrilled that it arrived just in time for Rachel’s Fly on the Wall session! I was even more delighted that she was up for my shenanigans to test it out LIVE in the VIP group!
Read MoreHave you ever avoided something for a long time - using every excuse in the book not to do it - and then afterwards thought “that really wasn’t as bad as I made it out to be…” ‘cuz same. That was exactly the scenario when it came to last week’s Fly on the Wall Friday Set.
I kept avoiding going LIVE while I photographed someone in the Shower Set. I had every excuse why it wouldn’t go smoothly.
Read MoreYou know what is really bringing me a lot of joy lately? These Fly on the Wall Friday sessions that I have been shooting LIVE in the Facebook VIP group! Seriously though - I’m not just saying that. It brings my 2 favorite things together - photoshoots and community - for a fun chat while I photograph a muse in the studio. I’ve had several people in the group reach out and say that they really appreciate seeing what it is actually like being photographed by me. I’ve heard that it helps calm some nerves before booking their own session with me knowing that I am going to guide them through the entire process!
Read MoreWhen I first took these self portraits. I hated them. In fact, I didn’t even look at them again for another week. Seeing them now, in a different headspace, it makes me a little sad to think about. How unfair and unkind I was to myself that day. The pictures are the exact same. I didn’t retake them. Someone didn’t sneak in and photoshop away my insecurities. I was feeling frustrated [read hormones] with my body that day. I felt sluggish and bloated and just not like myself. I ached all over and PMS was hitting my emotions hard. Now I see art, strength, and love. So I wrote an apology letter to my body from my soul and we became best friends as a result.
Read MoreLast Friday, I worked with long time client and 2022 Boudiebassador, Kandra, in the Stained Glass Window Set for the VIP Fly on the Wall Friday Live Photoshoot Event. I absolutely loved hearing how much she loved the outcome of these photos and that it wasn’t a set she normally would have picked for herself! Kandra considers her style to lean more edgy and I think we nailed it even in this otherwise “zen zone.”
Read MoreLast Friday Daniela came back into the studio to model for the first FLY ON THE WALL FRIDAY photoshoot. We went live in the VIP group while I photographed her in the new Vintage Area. I am OBSESSED with the moody retro glow in these images. Daniela was a real vintage vixen styled in this blue velvet bodysuit from the Client Closet. You may have heard me talk about how Daniela is the lingerie layering queen before you and this session was no exception!
Read More“Does a boudoir photography session have to be femme?” I’m here to tell you - HELL NO IT DOESN’T! Boudoir is for EVERYONE and doesn’t have to look any sort of way. To me, boudoir is more about honoring the parts that make you who you are and celebrating your body at any stage. Boudoir Photography is an intimate experience that helps you gain confidence and boost your self esteem.
Read MoreAt its core, "The Four Agreements" is about learning to break free from the limiting beliefs and expectations of society, and embracing your true self. This is a message that resonates deeply with me as a boudoir photographer, as I see firsthand the impact that societal pressure can have on a person's self-esteem and body image.
Read MoreRemember these Self Portraits I shared last October over on social media?! This amped up Sex Swing Set was the theme for last years Halloween Limited Edition Sessions. I loved the simple spooky vibe it gave without being overly themed.
The thing is, I loved this set so much, I regularly come back to it any time a client wants to really “Sex Up” the Sex Swing! Many clients don’t realize before coming into the studio just how versatile my sets can be!
HERE ARE 2 WAYS WE CAN INSTANTLY ADD MORE HEAT TO ANY BOUDOIR PHOTOSHOOT SET

I have admired Hannah’s work for several years. I love the way her images have depth and life paired with beautiful, saturated color combinations. The workshops in Nashville last November with The Boudoir Class were the perfect combination of inspiration, location, and timing that I needed! The final class I took last fall was Cinematic Experience with Hannah Rachael Photography. I am SO PUMPED about the new lighting tricks I learned during this workshop!
Read MoreWE HAD SO MUCH FUN CAPTURING POSES GEARED FOR BOTH DYNAMICS USING PROPS AND PERSPECTIVE. I LOVED THE USE OF MORE FEMININE PROPS LIKE PEARLS TO JUXTAPOSE THE MORE DOMINANT FEEL. RACHEL ROCKED BOTH ROLLS FLAWLESSLY! PEEP ALL THE AMBIENT LIGHT CREATED FROM LAMPS, CANDLES, AND THE NEON SIGN! I CAN’T WAIT TO SHARE THE CINEMATIC CLASS THAT I LEARNED THAT FROM!
Read MoreCan we talk about the elephant in the room for a second? MONEY is a topic many people tend to shy away from but I think it’s important to talk about. There are many misconceptions about boudoir and sometimes inquiring clients get sticker shock when I send them my pricing. I get it. We see posts all the time of our local photographer offering family sessions for as little as $100. So when I send you my price guide and there are 4 numbers before the decimal - it's shocking. However, I find that usually sticker shock comes from clients not being fully educated on what a boudoir session entails.
Read MoreSara Starchild and Christina Meerloo taught a VERY important class in Nashville with The Boudoir Class last fall on photographing BDSM and KINK themes that went beyond just cool poses with bondage props. The workshop covered everything from consent and safety, to the emotional nuances and importance of client prep and post care in BDSM/KINK scenarios. They covered power dynamics and of course cool poses with bondage props as one would expect. I am OBSESSED with the workshop location they selected for this class! We had cages to play in, a furry red room, and a glam bedroom complete with a mirrored vanity that gave us SO MANY different looks!
Read MoreThere are 3 Types of Boudoir Clients. The first type of client has no idea how they want their boudoir experience to look they just know they are excited [and nervous] to come in and have the experience! The second type of client is just as excited about the creative planning process as they are the experience itself. The last client is somewhere in between. Technically there’s a 4th type of client. This is their 5th time in the studio and at this point we are just mixing sets up to get them something they haven’t done before.
